Module 1: The Diocese of Broken Bay
The Diocese of Broken Bay is located within the traditional lands of the Darkingjung, Darug and Guringai people.
The Diocese you are are serving in is one of Australia's youngest dioceses, formed after the Archdiocese of Sydney was divided to form three dioceses - The Archdiocese of Sydney and the Dioceses of Parramatta and Broken Bay. This was to enable a more effective pastoral ministry to the Catholic people of each of the three dioceses and a more effective mission to the people of Sydney and the Central Coast.
The Diocese of Broken Bay is a community of communities, a communion of communions, of families, parishes, schools, centres and other Catholic agencies and associations located on Sydney's North Shore, Northern Beaches and Central Coast.
